iPhone 5 release date related stuff on the internet.
iOS 5 Beta 5 released, while reports are circulating that the release date of the iPhone 5 is delayed.
Engadget is reporting that iOS 5 Beta build number 5 is now out and can be downloaded by developers.
Surprisingly, the new iOS beta build has noted the possibility of multiple iCloud accounts, but with minimal information if how the process will work, and if whether or not the feature will be supported by Apple until the official consumer build that is expected to arrive later this year.
Supporting multiple iCloud accounts is better than a single account per device strategy, especially if the user wants to divide its cloud storage into two, one with personal data files while the other one will support work/enterprise-related documents. Let’s wait and see if what is Apple’s next step and if it can really provide a good cloud-based storage service.
Meanwhile, multiple websites on the internet are reporting that Apple has begun shutting down the accounts of some iOS developers who have “illegally” sold their account device slots and profited from the installation iOS 5 on devices that were not authorized by Apple. Aside from sending warning mails, Apple reportedly started locking the accounts of developers with questionable activities.
So it looks like Apple is very busy polishing the iOS 5, which could be the launching operating system build that the rumored new Apple smartphone is going to use, the iPhone 5. Some sites have reported release date “delays” of the iPhone 5, related to the All Things D report claiming that the September release date rumors are “misinformed.”
But, is the iPhone 5 really delayed?
Well, I already posted an article yesterday with quotes coming from Australia that the patent war between Apple and Samsung Mobile had accidentally revealed a patent describing the design of the new iPhone — so there’s a possibility that the release date of the phone is already “planned.”
According to the patent lodged by the Cupertino, California based company to support its claims against Samsung, the next iPhone “has a bezel edge,” and was manufactured using a “single sheet of metal.” The filing also supported earlier rumors heralded by sites like Wall Street Journal and Reuters claiming that the next iPhone could sport a thinner and lighter design.
